The e200X, designed as one of the world’s most compact all-electric air taxis, aims to transform urban mobility by converting congested road commutes into short, efficient flights. Under this strategic partnership, Ramco’s software will support the e200X through its certification, manufacturing, and eventual commercial deployment phases, providing a robust digital backbone for managing operations, maintenance, supply chain, and regulatory compliance.
Building a Digital Foundation for the Skies
The phased implementation of Ramco Aviation Software will align with the e200X’s journey toward regulatory approval and operational readiness. The platform offers integrated modules spanning Engineering & CAMO, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Flight Operations, Safety, Quality, and more—ensuring that The ePlane Company can scale efficiently as it advances toward commercial service.
Prof. Satya Chakravarthy, Founder of The ePlane Company, emphasized the importance of the partnership, stating, “Developing India’s first flying electric taxi requires not only engineering excellence but also a technology partner who understands the nuances of the aviation industry. Ramco’s platform will help us manage complexity while staying agile and future-ready.”

A Shared Vision for Sustainable Aviation
Sam Jacob, EVP & Head of Aviation, Aerospace & Defense at Ramco Systems, highlighted the timeliness of the initiative: “Electric air mobility is rapidly becoming a reality. The ePlane Company’s vision to address urban gridlock with compact electric aircraft is bold and timely. We are proud to support this initiative with a platform that offers the agility, compliance, and operational depth needed to scale.”
Leading the Charge in Innovation
The ePlane Company holds a Synergistic List patent in eight countries and is the first private Indian company to receive Design Organisation Approval (DoA) from India’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) for an electric aircraft. Type certification for the e200X is already underway as of December 2024.
Ramco Aviation Software is already trusted by over 24,000 users worldwide, managing more than 4,000 aircraft. Its cloud-based suite is used by leading airlines, MROs, defense organizations, and now, emerging urban air mobility innovators like The ePlane Company.
